Subject.
I make contemporary cityscape and landscape photographs. Ordinary subjects in outdoor spaces draw my eye, and lens, through extraordinary light and color. I look for dramatic, almost theatrical spotlights in truly organic settings. For dynamic shadowplay. And, oversaturated color and rich black & white tonal maps.
Process.
My photographs are made in both digital and analog. Small, medium and large format. My shooting process remains simple and unabashedly organic. I do not utilize light manipulation in the field. I rely wholly on natural light, employing almost exclusively long lenses to frame a more intimate scene.
My photo developing and finishing for online viewing involves gentle adjustments in contrast, color correction and sharpness in order to restore the raw capture to the broad gamut and sharpness of the human eye.
Color correction for print is a far more nuanced and technical process. The human eye and the digital display have far wider gamuts than paper. We, humans and computer displays, can see and reflect many more colors and tones than paper. In my product based commercial work, I became an expert in ICC profiling, SWOP and GRACol processes in order to ensure what we captured in the studio was what the customer saw in the catalog. My goal in fine art printmaking remains the same: to match what we see in person to what we see on the page.
When you look at a print, I want you to see exactly what you would have seen if you were standing by my side when I made the photograph.
Intent.
My intention as an artist is to capture a beat, a breath, a moment of stillness through my lens and release that back into the world. Intimate scenes that serve as a playful distraction from the day-to-day. Sparking the senses and waking the imagination of the viewer.

Custom Print.
My work hangs in private corporate collections, in homes, in public spaces like UT Southwestern Nobel Laureates’ wing. I work with designers, art buyers, curators and collectors on commissioned and existing work, offering custom sizing, paper selections, color correction and framing options.
I am so very proud of the detail, work and care that goes into these high end works.
